Bell Policy Center

A progressive vision The Bell Policy Center is committed to making Colorado a state of opportunity for all. We seek to reinvigorate the debate on issues affecting the well-being of Coloradans and to promote policies that open gateways to opportunity.

The Bighorn Center

The Bighorn Center was created in 1999 to give Colorado's political middle a credible and legitimate voice in the state's increasingly polarized landscape and more importantly, to get things done. The concept was to bring together leaders from both parties, good ideas (best practices) from other states, the private sector, and to use objective data and research in order to identify, develop and advocate public policies that improve the lives of Coloradans. As part of the mission, the Bighorn Center actively recruits and trains leaders who share these values through a bi-partisan leadership development program. Bighorn is a 501(c)3 -- private operating foundation. A sister organization, Bighorn Action is a 501(c)4 and implements public policy through legislative lobbying and/or ballot initiatives.

Center for Research on the Colorado Economy (CRCE),

The CRCE mission is to generate high quality economic research and analysis focused on contemporary economic issues facing Colorado's economy. This work will be available to and utilized by public and private sector decision makers at state, regional and local levels in Colorado. The Center serves Colorado State University's three primary missions: it generates knowledge by organizing data and applying frontier analytical methods; it provides outreach to the state by offering information and policy analyses to public policy makers and other constituencies; and it teaches students by involving them in applied research related to their classroom learning and by providing data, analyses and case studies useful within the classroom.

Center for Tax Policy

The Center for Tax Policy (CTP) is a privately sponsored, non-profit taxpayer organization that gathers and disseminates information to guide business and government decision-makers in the formation of public tax policy.CTP is, in effect, a non-partisan "watchdog" of taxpayer interests dedicated to the promotion of better state and local government through research and education.

Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV)

Violence in America has reached epidemic proportions. Today, all Americans are touched directly or indirectly by violent acts. In response, the Center for the Study and Prevention of Violence (CSPV), a research program of the Institute of Behavioral Science (IBS) at the University of Colorado at Boulder, was founded in 1992 to provide informed assistance to groups committed to understanding and preventing violence, particularly adolescent violence. Since that time, our mission has expanded to encompass violence across the life course.

Center of the American West

The Center of the American West takes as its mission the creation of forums for the respectful exchange of ideas and perspectives in the pursuit of solutions to the region's difficulties. We at the Center believe that an understanding of the historical origins of the West's problems, an emphasis on the common interests of all parties, and a dose of good humor are essential to constructive public discussion
