The nonpartisan Clean Elections Institute is the premier state-based advocate for public campaign financing. Since the passage of Clean Elections Act in 1998, we have been on defending it in court and at the Legislature, overseeing implementation, training candidates, and informing the public. We provide information, support, and counsel to activists in states and cities all over the country, as well as at the national level. Without us, Clean Elections would not have survived or succeeded, spread to other states, or gone national.
