For the past eight years, most recently as House majority leader, Alice Madden has been a strong and effective voice for progressive causes in the Colorado legislature. Because of term limits, she now leaves the legislature, but her many accomplishments -- in health care, education and renewable energy policy -- will continue to make Colorado a better, more just place to live. And she will still work on progressive issues as a board member of Western Progress. Her hometown newspaper recently gave her a well-deserved tribute.
